Based on SDG 8, College of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, the first of its kind in Africa, was launched as a premier higher education institution that offers the ground-breaking professional : Certificate in Entrepreneurship (CEnt), Diploma in Entrepreneurship (DEnt), Higher Diploma in Entrepreneurship (HDEnt), Bachelor of Entrepreneurship (B.Ent), Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (PGDEnt), Master of Entrepreneurship (M.Ent) and Doctorate of Entrepreneurship (D.Ent) Qualifications in Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management and Small Business Management.

College of Entrepreneurship and Small Business is in possession of a Corporate Charter under Companies and Allied Matters Act, Cap. C20, LFN, 2004, and as such recognised in law under CAMA 1990 vide certificate NO RC 1254784 to award professional certificate, diploma, higher diploma, professional post graduate diploma, professional master and professional doctorate certificates in entrepreneurship.
College of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, gets full accreditation for its courses from the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Education (ACEEE) with certificate number ACEEE/CESBM/COA/112201, and features in its list of accredited institutions. ACEEE is a subsidiary of Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship (ICEnt) – established with Corporate Charter by Companies and Allied Matters Act, Cap. C20, LFN, 2004 and the first in Africa to be globally certified to ISO 21001:2018 with scope including Quality Assurance in Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Education.
ACEEE also has been admitted as an Accredited Member of the Board of Quality Standards (BQS) with certificate number NCCBS30112161. ACEEE has fulfilled the Validation criteria of BQS and is fully approved by the chairman of IAC and can participate at INQAAHE Worldwide conference as BQS member. ACEEE is a member of the Global Confederation of Entrepreneurship Institutes (Home of Entrepreneurship and Innovation). These institutes and their individual members collaborate through ACEEE to develop standards of quality, known as ACEEE Criteria, on which our review teams base their evaluations of programmes and/or institutions under consideration for accreditation.

The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) is an International Quality Assurance body recognized by CHEA. INQAAHE works closely with National Accreditation bodies and Academicians to control Educational qualities in over 140 Countries, established since 1991. BQS is recognised and listed by the European registry. The BQS promotes education and transnational education issues, accreditation and quality assurance and provide statement of comparability of foreign education provider to that of the European Qualification framework. BQS recognised and promote legitimate education providers interested in providing sustainable education and development in their communities in EU level and international level by way of accreditation and recognition, Agency Memberships and professional recognition, Quality awards and certifications.
The EQF enables the learners, learning providers and employers to compare qualifications between different national systems. This is thought to help increase mobility in the labour market within and between the countries because it makes it easy to determine a person’s level of qualification which in turn will improve the balance between demand and supply of knowledge and skills. BQS provide statement of comparability of foreign qualifications to EQF. European Union Qualifications Framework (EQF) is an Agency of a political and Economic Union of 28 Member States that are located primarily in Europe with an estimated population of over 513 million members; the Agency acts as a translation device to make national qualifications more readable across Europe, promoting workers and Learners mobility between countries and facilitating their learning. EQF is also charged with the responsibility of relating, Comparing, and better understanding different countries National qualifications levels system to a common European reference framework amongst individuals and employees in terms of Education and training systems.
Degrees conferred by College of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management have been internationally recognised by the Governments and private sector and also accepted by multinational businesses as well as colleges and universities for further study. The University was endorsed to the Generally Accepted Accrediting Principle (GAAP) and all transcripts are in GAAP, BQF, and ECTS. Under this Agreement, undergraduate students are required to complete a minimum of 30 GAAP credits or 60 ECTS credits or 120 BQF/QCF credits per year and total Bachelor degree credits 120 credits and duration four years of learning- Master 45 credits and duration 1/2 years of learning- Doctorate 60 credits above master degree duration 3 years of learning with completion of Dissertation and Viva Voice.
